Due to the expansion of our activities, we are currently looking for a self-driven and ambitious:

Business System Developer

In this role you will develop, implement, maintain, trouble-shoot and enhance business applications (front- & back-end as well as integration) based on (global) business processes/needs, policies, and tooling, as well as provide support to the application users. A focus will be on applications developed together with 3rd parties and with our software development team in Asia.

Main responsibilities:

  • Work with the (global) stakeholders to support the full software development lifecycle, from technical design (based on functional design), development, testing to deployment and training / support of end users, using the applicable tooling
  • Work with technical teams and senior architects to finalize technical design, including the integration of existing or new software-solutions to address the business requirements
  • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during the various stages of project delivery and operational use of the business applications
  • Perform operational tasks to ensure the smooth operation of production applications and/or platforms.
  • Pro-actively identify areas of improvement on IT-applications and their interfaces, like SAP, MuleSoft, OutSystems plus custom developments
  • Work closely with local and group-IT team-members, as well as with 3rd parties to contribute to the growth of the .net, SQL and OutSystems based applications
  • Identify internal control weaknesses and requirements to be fulfilled

 

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Bachelors/Masters-degree on ICT or equivalent
  • More than 5 years relevant and proven IT-experience, working with in-/external IT-partners
  • Experience in application design, development, deployment and troubleshooting with demonstrable experience with:
    • JavaScript, ES6, Webpack, Node/React.JS, HTML, CSS, Razor
    • .netstandard, .netframework, .netcore, asp.net, asp.netcore
    • MS SQL, SQL server, IIS
    • Outsystems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (preferably also Dutch) with business acumen to talk to the internal customer, business process analysts, co-developers and translate initiatives into useful solutions
  • Understanding of ERP: SAP (ECC 6), no need to write ABAP / do any customizing (all is done in Asia)
  • Enthusiasm for your work with a flexible mindset, no 9 to 5 mentality, combined with a drive to find that blocking bug…
  • A good understanding of Supply Chain (sales, inbound logistics, production, outbound logistics)
  • Project-management experience, specifically Agile/Scrum or Prince2 (Waterfall & Agile/Scrum)
